Application Programmer III

We are seeking an Application Programmer III to join our dynamic team supporting critical batch, feed, and application operations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in enterprise application support, UNIX and shell scripting, Autosys scheduling, and monitoring tools, and a proven ability to troubleshoot incidents to root cause, maintain clear stakeholder communication, and drive preventative improvements., * Batch and feed management, including monitoring multiple processes to completion and resolving issues.

• Alert management with timely response, analysis, and resolution of monitoring events.
• Knowledge management by creating and updating support documentation.
• Incident management with clear business-language tickets, open communications, and proper escalation.
• Application support and subject matter expertise to troubleshoot issues, research root causes, and recommend preventative actions.
• Effective communications with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Reporting using ITSM and monitoring tools such as ServiceNow, ITRS Geneos, Dynatrace, and Splunk.

• 3-5 years in an application support role with hands-on client application support.
• Strong knowledge of Autosys for job scheduling and control.
• Strong knowledge of UNIX and shell scripting.
• Good knowledge of SQL and Oracle or similar DBMS, plus familiarity with Hadoop.
• Ability to triage and prioritize multiple concurrent issues and requests.
• Ability to learn quickly and work independently.
• Motivation to drive continuous improvement.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working in multi-regional teams.
• Enterprise monitoring with ITRS Geneos, Splunk, Dynatrace, and NEWS.
• Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Working knowledge of ITIL foundations and ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.
• Strong project and time management skills.
• Documentation proficiency with Confluence.
• Financial industry experience.
