Job description

Join a dynamic team providing essential technical support at a leading data center in Ashburn, VA. This on-site role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting data center infrastructure to ensure continuous operational availability. You will coordinate network and server hardware setups, manage cabling and physical infrastructure, and work closely with support teams to resolve incidents efficiently. The position offers the opportunity to develop hands-on skills in network and data center operations within a fast-paced environment., * Install, maintain, and troubleshoot network and server hardware, including cabling, rack stacking, and component replacement

  • Support data center staging, deployment, and logistics operations
  • Perform hardware repairs, moves, adds, and changes adhering to industry standards
  • Conduct cable testing, termination, and rack elevation updates using DCIM tools
  • Interface with support teams and vendors to resolve outages and reduce downtime
  • Maintain accurate documentation of systems, layouts, and procedures
  • Participate in preventative maintenance and safety protocols in a 24/7 operational environment

Requirements

  • Proven experience with data center operations, network cabling, and hardware installation
  • Familiarity with LAN/WAN protocols, enterprise cabling standards, and electrical connectors
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift and handle equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.

Top Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience with data center infrastructure and hardware maintenance
  • Knowledge of networking, including routers, switches, firewalls, and cabling standards
  • Ability to perform cable testing, termination, and rack elevation documentation
