Data Center Installation Technician

As a Data Center Installation Technician, you will play a critical role in building and deploying infrastructure that powers the cloud. Your responsibilities will include:

• Installing and routing fiber optic and copper cabling throughout the data center
• Patching and connecting cables between servers, switches, and network equipment
• Labeling, organizing, and dressing cabling to industry standards
• Racking and stacking servers, network devices, and supporting hardware
• Supporting day-to-day installation and deployment activities within a new facility
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Working alongside experienced data center professionals to bring systems online, * Must be available to work weekends as needed
• Must be able to travel between data center locations in Adamstown, MD and Frederick, MD
• Flexible schedule to support project requirements

Fiber Optics Team Oriented Copper Cabling Detail Oriented Network Routing, * Experience with data center installations, structured cabling, or IT infrastructure projects

• Familiarity with Cat5, Cat6, fiber optic cabling, and cable management best practices
• Experience with rack-and-stack activities or hardware installations
• Basic understanding of data center operations or IT support environments
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, * Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable climbing ladders and working at varying heights
• Ability to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and walkways safely
• Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and performing physical work throughout the shift, Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
