Job description
- Provide daily support for LPD Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Product Support Manger (PSM) representative and provide ILS information as needed on technical issues.
- Manage all programmatic and operational aspects of craft construction, including planning, production methodology, producibility, manufacturing, and quality assurance.
- Conduct risk management analysis to identify, mitigate, and monitor issues affecting ship construction; develop and recommend effective risk mitigation strategies.
- Review engineering change documentation to ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, and current U.S. Navy standards.
- Track and report daily and weekly progress on all tanks and compartment completions.
- Monitor compartment completion milestones and coordinate updates across teams to maintain schedule integrity.
- Collaborate with Ship’s Management to reconcile discrepancies in tank and compartment status and ensure accurate reporting.
- Coordinate and manage Coordinated Shipboard Allowance List (COSAL) loadout activities between Ship’s Force and Ship’s Management to support Crew Move-Aboard and space turnover milestones.
- Oversee key and space turnover to ensure all locks function properly and correct keys are issued to crew members.
- Conduct and manage Fit and Finish inspections of compartments to verify Builder’s Trial readiness and adherence to quality standards.
- Validate and verify Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) for compartments to support overall contract incentive requirements.
- Review and validate trial cards, ship specifications, and drawings to confirm all work is completed in accordance with current Navy standards and design documentation.
- When requested by the customer, travel as required to support and assist with the work ups for Acceptance Trials and Final Contract Trials.
Requirements
- A minimum of 6 years’ related experience is preferred.
- High School General Diploma required. A further applicable degree is a plus.
- Active secret security clearance or ability to obtain one.
- Experience using Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
- Experience in processing military documentation is required.
