Job description

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on statistical analysis and AI, develop, test and deploy machine learning and deep learning algorithms to digital marketing campaign design and evaluation, and provide coaching to an offshore analytic team
  • Consults with and provides guidance to sales and market research teams on advanced technical and methodological issues
  • Partner with internal and external clients to develop creative solutions and address key business issues

Requirements

WebMD is looking to hire an experienced statistician or data analyst with a strong understanding of pharmaceutical marketing programs. The candidate will be responsible for hands-on development of various analytical models as well as for collaborating with external and internal analytical partners to measure impact of WebMD’s HCP and DTC campaigns and Medical Affairs programs. The individual will serve various internal and external clients, and interact with multiple groups within the organization, including business intelligence, data services, and digital marketing product development. We are looking for someone who is highly self-motivated, proactive and self-sufficient with the ability to juggle several projects and priorities on a regular basis while working independently, strategically and creatively.

The ideal candidate will have the following skillset:

  • Foundational Skills: Strong problem solving and analytical skills, ability to think creatively with data, and ability to present analytical findings to clients at a level appropriate for the audience. Ability to develop analytical insights from secondary data analysis to support various purposes within the organization, including sales and campaign impact demonstration.
  • Statistical Modeling: Knowledge of statistical techniques and concepts (regression, predictive modeling, power analysis, statistical tests and their proper usage, etc.) and experience with their applications.
  • Causal Inference: Knowledge of causal inference using observational data. Ability to measurement framework, and experience in applying methods such as propensity score matching and difference-in-difference estimation.
  • Experience with machine learning and AI: Knowledge of supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms, along with deep learning algorithms including Generative AI.
  • Business Minded: Ability to focus on driving business objectives with analytically rigorous solutions; convert data insights into actionable next steps for clients.
  • Third Party Data for Pharma industry: Experience in working with healthcare data, specifically clinical data such as health insurance claims, EHR data, HCP prescription data, and clinical code sets and terminologies (e.g. ICD10, CPT, etc.). Good understanding of third-party data sources and their use in pharma (e.g. data from IQVIA, Symphony)., * Education: Graduate degree in foundational areas, such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science or related discipline
  • Strong communication skills, including verbal and written, and ability to distill complex issues to critical terms and explain in layman language
  • Ability to effectively present findings to clients, executives, and other stakeholders
  • 3+ years of analytics experience. Proficient in R, SAS and Big Query.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving & analytical skills

Benefits & conditions

Salary range: $110,000 - $120,000

Bonus Eligible: This position is also eligible for a discretionary company bonus, based upon business results.
