Job description
A manufacturing organization is seeking an onsite IT Support Specialist for a contract opportunity located in Michigan City, Indiana. This role will support a Windows based environment utilizing Microsoft 365 and Intune, with a focus on end user support, device provisioning, and troubleshooting. This is a short term contract role supporting coverage for a team member on leave, with an initial duration of at least one month and potential for extension.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys working hands on and being the primary IT presence at a site. You will have strong ownership of day to day support, working directly with users on the floor while collaborating with an offshore help desk and infrastructure team. The manager is looking for someone who can think through problems, troubleshoot effectively, and keep operations running smoothly with minimal oversight
Requirements
- Experience providing onsite IT or desktop support
- Strong Windows 10 and Windows 11 experience
- Experience working in Microsoft 365 environments
- Hands on experience with Intune for device enrollment and provisioning
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic network issues
- Experience setting up and deploying laptops or desktops
- Strong communication and customer support skills
Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience in manufacturing or production environments
- Familiarity with ticketing tools such as Freshworks, ServiceNow, or Zendesk
- Experience collaborating with remote or offshore IT teams
- Exposure to endpoint management and device compliance policies
