Job description
- Will serve as a Network Development Engineer, supporting build-out and deployments to the operational environment as needed
- Will work within an Agile Scrum team and plan work based on customer requirements and program contractual agreements
- Will be a primary Network Engineer supporting the C2BMC Program
- Will be responsible for learning to plan, deploy, integrate, and test upgrades to the C2BMC network for operational sites and for helping where needed
- Will be responsible for traveling to remote locations to perform network installations, troubleshoot, and provide status updates to Program personnel
- Must be willing and able to assist with real-world events, including nights and weekends
- Must have and maintain a valid US passport
Requirements

- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university, along with 2 years of experience; or a Master’s degree in a related field with 0 years of relevant work experience; or 6 years of relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative to a degree
- Applicants must have a current, active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (such as Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc.) at the time of application, which is required to start. The candidate is responsible for maintaining their DoD 8140 certification throughout the entire contract period
- Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start with the ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
- Willingness to travel 10% of the time for business needs
- Must be a proficient communicator with strong writing and presentation skills, utilizing Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools
- Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment with other highly motivated engineers and independently at times on large field projects
- Must have knowledge of network design, development, and testing methodologies
- Must be proficient with the OSI Model, TCP/IP, and routing protocols BGP and OSPF
- Must have network traffic analysis, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills
- Must have firewall knowledge in Juniper, Fortinet, and Palo Alto
- Must have knowledge of UDP multicast, SONET, MSPP, VLANs, GRE tunnels, and TCP/IP network design
- Must have knowledge of multi-vendor switching and routing (Juniper, Cisco), WAN optimization, TACLANEs, and optical transport equipment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Applicants with a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Top Secret security clearance at the time of application are highly preferred”
