Job description

We’re seeking a highly experienced Principal Systems Engineer to serve as a technical leader within a propulsion engine control systems group. In this role, you’ll drive the development, integration, and performance of advanced engine control systems across a portfolio of gas turbine engines., * Serve as a technical focal point for internal stakeholders and leadership

  • Mentor and support junior engineers
  • Drive strategic reuse of system requirements and features across programs
  • Influence improvements in development cost, efficiency, and timelines

Collaboration & Program Execution

  • Coordinate with:
  • Chief engineers and technical experts
  • Program management teams
  • Internal and external customers
  • Provide supplier technical oversight and project coordination
  • Support Agile development processes and program planning
  • Assist with field issue troubleshooting and system support, * Play a key role in shaping next-generation propulsion control systems
  • Work on mission-critical aerospace technologies
  • Serve as a technical leader and mentor in a high-visibility role
  • Collaborate with top engineers, industry experts, and global teams

Requirements

  • Proven experience working within Aerospace Engines & Power Systems environments
  • Deep expertise in propulsion engine control systems
  • Strong background in requirements-based systems engineering for controls, + Requirements analysis, decomposition, and validation
  • Verification and change management
  • Define and refine engine control system and component-level requirements, * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or STEM discipline
  • 10+ years of professional engineering experience
  • Strong background in propulsion control systems and requirements engineering
  • Experience working within aerospace or engine systems environments
  • Ability to lead complex technical efforts and influence stakeholders, * Experience with gas turbine engines or internal combustion engine controls
  • Familiarity with:
  • ARP4754A (Systems Development)
  • DO-178C (Software Certification)
  • Knowledge of control systems and supporting hardware components
  • Experience in program/project engineering and customer interfacing
  • Proven ability to work in cross-functional, global teams __________________

Benefits & conditions

Pay Details: $93.00 per hour
