Job description

  • Develop and generate software components (PDIs, UMS, Field Loadable software) in compliance with DO-178B/C standards
  • Review and approve supplier software lifecycle documentation including requirements, design, and architecture
  • Oversee preparation and submission of certification documentation to FAA/EASA standards
  • Collaborate with global teams, suppliers, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance and performance
  • Monitor project timelines to ensure on-time delivery and certification milestones
  • Lead development and maintenance of system architectures, requirements, and interfaces
  • Drive implementation of engineering processes, tools, and metrics
  • Support and lead software lifecycle activities including planning, development, verification, and certification
  • Participate in industry working groups and contribute to internal standards and best practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or related STEM field
  • 3+ years of experience in software development lifecycle, configuration management, and Agile practices
  • 3+ years of experience in systems/software architecture, requirements, and design
  • Experience leading software development projects
  • Proficiency with version control tools (e.g., Git)
  • Experience using Agile tools such as JIRA or GitLab
  • Domain expertise in aircraft interiors, in-flight entertainment, seating, or onboard network systems
  • Strong knowledge of DO-178C and DO-254 standards (required), * 5+ years of related engineering or certification experience
  • Experience working with or as a DER, TSO Certification Specialist, or Certification Verification Engineer (CVE)
  • Knowledge of DO-330 and DO-331 standards
  • Strong background in software lifecycle data and certification processes
  • Proven ability to work across complex, cross-functional environments
