Job description

The Reliability Engineer will play a critical role in improving equipment reliability, increasing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and reducing downtime through the implementation of world-class reliability and maintenance practices. This individual will collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, IT, and Finance to drive sustainable improvements throughout the organization., * Develop, implement, and standardize equipment reliability best practices across manufacturing operations.

  • Lead and coach teams in the implementation of Equipment Reliability System components, including:
  • Defect Elimination
  • Criticality Analysis
  • Preventive Maintenance (PM)
  • Predictive Maintenance (PdM)
  • Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Condition-Based Monitoring
  • Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM)
  • Champion a proactive reliability culture and promote ownership of equipment performance throughout the organization.
  • Identify opportunities to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), equipment uptime, productivity, and maintenance efficiency.
  • Analyze equipment performance data and recommend reliability improvements based on trends and root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Technology, Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, IT, and Finance teams to implement sustainable reliability improvements.
  • Support business units by developing long-term asset reliability strategies and maintenance optimization plans.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing downtime, extending equipment life, and lowering maintenance costs.
  • Travel up to 50% to support multiple manufacturing facilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Reliability Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Equipment Reliability, Maintenance Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Industrial Maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance methodologies.
  • Experience utilizing CMMS systems to improve maintenance effectiveness.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret equipment performance data.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with:
  • Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
  • Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM)
  • Equipment Asset Hierarchies
  • Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA)
  • Experience leading cross-functional continuous improvement teams within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong background in data analysis, visualization, and performance reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated leadership, coaching, facilitation, and project management skills.
  • Experience improving OEE, equipment uptime, and manufacturing productivity.
