Datacenter H&F Engineer

• Install, configure, and maintain physical servers, storage systems, and network devices.
• Perform regular hardware diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and equipment replacements.
• Rack, stack, and cable data center equipment according to industry standards.

Network Support

• Assist with setup and maintenance of network infrastructure (switches, routers, patch panels).
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues at the hardware level (LAN/WAN, cabling, ports).
• Work with network teams to implement changes or upgrades.

Systems Monitoring & Troubleshooting

• Perform site inspections, Daily/Weekly walkthrough and equipment audits to ensure operational compliance and safety.
• Monitor the health and performance of systems using monitoring tools.
• Quickly respond to and resolve alarms, outages, and hardware failures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and infrastructure issues in a timely manner.
• Conduct root cause analysis and document resolutions.

Power & Cooling Management

• Monitor and support critical power infrastructure (UPS, PDUs, generators).
• Maintain proper cooling standards by working with HVAC systems and airflow designs.
• Ensure uptime through environmental monitoring and response (e.g., temperature, humidity).

Security & Compliance

• Enforce physical security policies, access controls, and visitor protocols.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal audit requirements.
• Maintain documentation for access logs, equipment inventory, and changes.

Documentation & Inventory

• Maintain detailed records of hardware configurations, asset inventory, cabling diagrams, and incidents.
• Keep documentation updated for standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Track spare parts and coordinate procurement with supply chain teams.

Collaboration & Support

• Provide hands-on support to remote engineering, operations, and vendor teams.
• Assist in deployments, migrations, and data center expansion projects.
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs and RMAs (Return Material Authorizations).

Upgrades & Optimization

• Participate in capacity planning, hardware refreshes, and performance optimization.
• Support infrastructure upgrades, migrations, or decommissions.

On-Call & Emergency Response

• Be available for on-call rotations or emergency interventions.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
