Barnett Engineering & Signaling Laboratories LLC (BESL) is seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to perform Systems Engineering (Level III) duties in support of mission systems. The responsibilities of this position include life-cycle support, which encompasses requirements analysis, design, proposal support, and the development of modifications to the existing system baseline. Additionally, hands-on support will involve troubleshooting, software installations, and depot-level inspections. The systems engineer will also conduct trade studies to guide the selection of components, assess various project alternatives, perform risk analyses, and carry out root cause analyses. Requirements
Do you have experience in Systems engineering?, Do you have a Trade school?, * Must have experience and familiarity in the field of satellite communications or space electromagnetic warfare
- Must possess a firm understanding of radio frequency and signal flow
- Experience with DevSecOps (CI/CD) methodology and tools
- Possess excellent technical skills to understand and translate information into presentable instructional material.
- Must have a firm understanding of engineering architecture and design concepts along with basic understanding of the engineering practices and procedures required to develop, test and deploy systems.
- Experience with requirements analysis and systems design within projects.
- Experience with Agile or DevOps project management styles. (JIRA)

Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to travel up to 15% - must possess or be able to secure a valid passport
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must possess or able to achieve and maintain a DOD Security clearance.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with MBSE software or certification
- Experience in product development a plus (preferably in military application environment).)
- Able to present reports and presentations in a clear, articulate and concise manner.
- Familiarity with test equipment (Spectrum Analyzers, Power Meters, Multimeters, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with hardware integration and installation
Education/Certifications
- A Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline is strongly preferred, or equivalent technical education and experience (6-8 years related experience)
- DoD 8140 CWQP (Security+) equivalent certification within 6 months of employment
