Acuity, Inc. is a consulting firm that supports federal agencies in the areas of IT Modernization, Data Enablement, and Hyperautomation. Responsibilities:

  • Implement and deploy AI/ML models using frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch within secure federal environments.
  • Build and maintain secure data pipelines to support model training and inference in AWS GovCloud or Azure Government.
  • Collaborate with AI Architects to translate high-level strategy into technical code and operational functional artifacts.
  • Technical implementation of MLOps pipelines to ensure auditability, traceability, and model versioning for compliance.
  • Perform data cleaning, feature engineering, and hyperparameter tuning to optimize model performance for mission-specific datasets.
  • Ensure all code and model artifacts meet technical implementation requirements for NIST 800-53 controls.
  • Integrate Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) into existing secure architectures and zero-trust frameworks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering or data engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience developing AI/ML solutions in highly regulated or federal environments.
  • Proficiency in Python, Java, or similar languages within Agile and DevSecOps workflows.

Preferred Certifications

  • Federal & Security: CompTIA Security+ (required for DoD 8570 compliance).
  • Domain-Specific: Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate or AWS Certified Machine Learning - Specialty.
  • Architecture/Management: AWS/Azure Developer Associate certifications.

Technical Skills

  • AI/ML Frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn.
  • Tools: Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Jenkins, MLOps tools.
  • Platforms: Databricks, Spark, and secure GovCloud environments.
  • Architecture: API development and microservices in Zero Trust environments.

Regulatory & Domain Expertise

  • Demonstrated expertise in applying FedRAMP Moderate/High baselines.
  • Technical implementation of NIST 800-53 and FISMA security controls.
  • Understanding of the Authority to Operate (ATO) process for AI-driven systems.

Clearance Requirement

  • Active security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) or eligibility to obtain one
