Job description

The AI Developer / AI Engineer will design, develop, and deploy advanced AI and machine learning solutions to support enterprise applications and cloud platforms. This role involves building production-ready Generative AI and Large Language Model applications, integrating intelligent automation, and contributing to digital modernization efforts within regulated environments. Responsibilities:

Design and develop AI/ML models and intelligent automation solutions.
Build production-ready Generative AI and Large Language Model (LLM) applications.
Develop Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions.
Train, tune, test, and deploy machine learning models.
Create prompt engineering and model evaluation frameworks.
Develop AI-enabled APIs and integrations.
Participate in full software development lifecycle activities.
Deploy AI solutions using CI/CD pipelines.
Support model monitoring, optimization, and governance.
Create technical documentation and implementation guides.
Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and government stakeholders.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of AI/ML development experience.
Minimum 3 years developing production AI applications.
Experience supporting Federal or regulated environments.
Proficiency in Python, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and Natural Language Processing (NLP).
Experience with model deployment, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and REST APIs.
Must be a U.S. Citizen and capable of obtaining/maintaining Public Trust suitability clearance.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

Experience with Azure OpenAI Service, AWS SageMaker, Google Vertex AI, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, Vector Databases, and RAG Architectures.
Familiarity with Terraform, Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, and Docker.
Preferred certifications include Microsoft Azure AI Engineer Associate, AWS Machine Learning Specialty, and Google Professional ML Engineer.

Special Considerations:

Must be a U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust suitability clearance.
Work involves supporting Federal or regulated environments requiring adherence to strict security and compliance protocols.
