Implement various computational frameworks/analysis strategies for multiple ongoing and emerging genetics and genomics projects in Alzheimer disease, substance use disorders, and age-related macular degeneration involving high-throughput, next generation sequencing (NGS) datasets (e.g. DNA-genome, transcriptomic, epigenomic, and proteomics data).

Direct the development and maintenance of genome-wide association and genomic analysis pipelines and the implementation of various analysis strategies.

Under the guidance of a faculty supervisor, carry out risk prediction analyses utilizing genetic, clinical, demographic, and other risk factor data.

Respond to requests for analysis from faculty, postdocs, and collaborators; and collaborate with them in interpretation of data, and in the preparation of manuscripts, grants, and presentations.

Train students, postdocs and faculty in pipeline use; and test and utilize new software and tools, modifying them as needed to adapt to specific research needs.

Prepare tables and figures for manuscripts that report results from data analyses.
Requirements
Strong programming and analytic skills in R and Python or Perl, strong scientific writing skills, and three years relevant work or graduate education experience. Biological/Statistical knowledge preferred but not required.
