Job description

  • Visibly and substantially support the client Safety Culture through proactive engagement and by making safety a part of every decision.
  • Integrate safe design concepts in all products and projects.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge and experience in recent CAD technologies and practices.
  • Maintain technical drawing and bill of material library
  • Design panels and systems that are easy to maintain and safe to operate from ergonomic stand point.
  • Assist in the design, specification, installation, and integration of chemical and gas manufacturing systems.
  • Under the direction of the engineering design team, produce technical drawings and bills of material for detailed design packages for mechanical and electrical processes.
  • Participate in Design Review, Process Hazard Analysis and EMOC meetings as needed.
  • Support continuous improvement within the design group - e.g. development of standards, engineering tools, etc.

Required key skills (functional/technical)

  • Design with an emphasis to industrial gas applications
  • Problem solving skills
  • The ability to manage multiple assignments
  • Good communications skills
  • Strong hands-on skills, ability to trouble shoot applications equipment
  • Knowledge of design tools including Solidworks, ACAD, for mechanical and electrical design
  • Knowledge of simulation tools using Solidworks Simulation
  • Ability to do basic engineering calculations and use tools
  • A working knowledge of international codes/directives
  • Strong organisational skills, * Bachelors or technical degree (Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering prefered)
  • Strong communications skills
  • Report or techincal writing skills
  • Min. 2 years experience in project engineering or design preferably related to industrial gas applications or machinery
  • SolidWorks experience (CSWP preferred)
