Job description
We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to lead the development and launch of automotive air induction and exhaust systems for vehicle programs. This role serves as the primary liaison between engineering, program management, manufacturing, suppliers, and quality teams to ensure system performance, cost, timing, weight, and quality targets are achieved. The ideal candidate has a strong background in automotive exhaust systems, air intake systems, product development, and program management within an OEM or automotive supplier environment. Key Responsibilities Lead air induction and exhaust systems from concept through production and end-of-life support Manage program timing, budget, quality, weight, and cost objectives Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers Support vehicle launches, prototype builds, validation testing, and change management activities Drive issue resolution and communicate project status to leadership and stakeholders Manage supplier performance, sourcing activities, and tooling launches Support plant launch activities and travel to supplier and assembly facilities as needed
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field 8+ years of experience in automotive engineering with a focus on air induction and exhaust systems Proven program management and supplier management experience Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, vehicle packaging, tooling, and product development Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication, leadership, and presentation skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Engineering Experience with DFMEA, DVP&R, DFSS, CAD (UG/NX), NVH testing, and thermal systems Knowledge of EV systems, powertrain controls, and component cost analysis
