Job description

Join Hitachi Energy as a Information/Operational Technology Site Specialist and play a critical role in connecting technology, operations, and business success at our Richland, Mississippi site. In this highly visible position, you will serve as the local IT/OT leader, ensuring reliable delivery of infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and operational technology services that enable a world-class manufacturing environment.

You will act as a trusted partner to business leaders, application owners, vendors, and global IT teams, helping to drive operational excellence through innovative technology solutions. From supporting factory systems and business applications to leading service delivery, incident management, and cybersecurity response activities, you will have the opportunity to influence both day-to-day operations and long-term digital transformation initiatives.

Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines. How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead and coordinate local IT/OT resources to support factory and business operations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for IT suppliers, global support teams, and business stakeholders.
  • Manage ticket triage, escalations, and service delivery to ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Provide onsite support for IT infrastructure, applications, and operational technology assets.
  • Maintain local IT governance, cybersecurity, and compliance standards.
  • Gather, prioritize, and support business demand for new and enhanced technology solutions.
  • Ensure operational support for factory technologies, including networking, collaboration spaces, security systems, printers, scanners, and manufacturing-related hardware.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support technology projects that enhance business performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field preferred; alternatively, 10+ years of relevant Information Systems experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in IT service delivery, infrastructure, or IT operations.
  • Experience managing projects and delivering complex technology initiatives across multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of business processes, process improvement, change management, and manufacturing operations.
  • Knowledge of enterprise technologies such as Microsoft 365, Azure, SAP S/4HANA, ServiceNow, DevOps, and analytics platforms.
  • Familiarity with ITIL, Agile project management, COBIT, Lean Six Sigma, and cybersecurity best practices is highly desirable.
