Job description
Our client is a global leader in medical simulation technology, providing advanced patient simulators used by hospitals, universities, and healthcare training programs. These systems allow medical professionals to practice real-life scenarios in a controlled environment, helping improve patient outcomes and reduce risk in clinical settings. They are seeking an IT Field Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of these simulator systems across customer sites., * Install and configure patient simulator systems at hospitals, universities, and training centers
- Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot hardware and software issues
- Ensure systems are properly connected to client networks and fully operational
- Provide basic training and support to end users on-site
- Travel throughout the DC/DMV region to support customer locations

Maintain strong customer service and communication with end users Travel Expectations
- Travel required Monday through Friday (must be flexible for driving or flying)
- Most travel is local/regional within a 5-hour driving radius
- Hotel accommodations provided for longer trips; flights arranged when needed

Home most nights; weekends typically off Training
- 13-week paid training program (Monday-Friday travel required)
- Combination of classroom training and field shadowing
- All travel expenses covered during training Must-Haves
Requirements
- Flexibility to travel Monday through Friday
- Basic IT knowledge (hardware/software troubleshooting)
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DHCP, IP addressing)
- Experience working with Windows 10 environments
- Strong customer service and communication skills

Reliable transportation Nice-to-Have
- Electronics troubleshooting or hands-on technical aptitude
- CompTIA A+ or similar foundational knowledge Additional Details

- Mileage reimbursement after the first 30 miles traveled
- Daily meal stipend provided during travel
- Paid for travel time with minimums applied based on hours worked

Role is open to a wide range of experience levels based on technical aptitude Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochester, NY. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
