Information Technology Analyst I, II or III

This position is responsible for complex engineering and/or analytical activities associated with one or more technical areas within the Desktop Operations area. (Such as, but not limited to, desktop/laptop image creation, implementation, troubleshooting, maintenance and/or client support). Provides technical hardware and software support for the BREC Headquarters location in Owensboro, the Transmissions Operations Center in Owensboro, and two plant locations in Western Kentucky. Assists in desktop related troubleshooting related to the employees of Big Rivers Electric and the member-owners.

Minimum of five working years of technology experience with desktop and laptop computers, tablets, printers, networks and operating systems., Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s degree is a plus) in a technology related field and experience that results in equivalent job knowledge. Minimum of five working years of technology experience with desktop and laptop computers, tablets, printers, networks and operating systems. Proficiency in any of the current generative Artificial Intelligence platforms is strongly desired. Must have a basic working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 11 and MS Office 365 applications. Knowledge of the rural electric cooperative business model is a plus. Effectively communicates with clients, peers and supervision by blending appropriate levels of technical and business detail to ensure issues are thoroughly understood by his/her audience. Develops and maintains relationships with clients, peers, and management.
