Senior Backend Software Engineer - Java & Spring Boot

We are seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications, APIs, and microservices. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, high-performing solutions for web, mobile, and enterprise applications in a hybrid work environment., * Engage with stakeholders to understand business use cases and technical requirements

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications, APIs, and microservices
• Develop scalable and secure applications using Spring Boot and Java
• Architect and maintain RESTful APIs
• Collaborate with frontend developers and cross-functional teams including product owners, architects, and designers
• Support application deployment in cloud or on-premises environments
• Monitor application health, performance, resiliency, and reliability
• Manage data storage and retrieval using database technologies
• Implement security best practices including encryption and data protection
• Promote engineering best practices including test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery
• Optimize backend infrastructure and deployment processes

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 10+ years of IT experience
• 8+ years of software development experience
• Strong proficiency in Java programming and object-oriented programming principles
• Experience with Spring Boot framework
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs
• Experience with API development, including enterprise APIs
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting applications on cloud platforms
• Experience working with databases such as Oracle, MySQL, or MongoDB

• Experience collaborating within Agile development environments Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or equivalent cloud services
• Experience with Kotlin
• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipelines
• Familiarity with Jira or similar Agile tools
• Experience with OpenAPI Specification (OAS) standards
