Job description

The Systems Analyst will work closely with the Applications Developer to migrate, implement, and maintain our new CMiC ERP system. The Systems Analyst will be the liaison between end-users and technical teams and will be responsible for establishing quality control procedures, troubleshooting errors, and leading the ERP end-user training for our organization. A candidate for this position must embody qualities that are in line with CMS’s Core Values: Safety, Customer Service, Positive Can-Do Attitude, Accountability, Respect, and Leadership., * Analyze business and technical requirements to design, develop, and implement software solutions that support organizational operations and objectives.

  • Develop, test, debug, and maintain custom applications, scripts, interfaces, and system integrations using approved programming languages and development tools.
  • Collaborate with end users, project managers, and cross-functional teams to identify system improvements, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance.
  • Perform systems analysis to evaluate existing processes, workflows, and applications and recommend enhancements or automation opportunities.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including system specifications, process flows, coding standards, and user procedures.
  • Support enterprise software systems by monitoring functionality, resolving technical issues, and implementing updates or patches as needed.
  • Participate in software testing, quality assurance, and user acceptance testing to ensure applications meet business and security requirements.
  • Design and maintain database queries, reports, and data integrations to support operational and management reporting needs.
  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards, data integrity requirements, and company IT policies during all phases of system development and support.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior analysts, developers, and support personnel.
  • Coordinate with vendors, software providers, and internal stakeholders regarding system upgrades, enhancements, and implementation activities.
  • Assist in project planning, system conversions, and deployment activities, including troubleshooting post-implementation issues.
  • Analyze system performance metrics and recommend solutions to improve efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
  • Support change management initiatives by communicating system updates and training users on new functionality and processes.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive company and client information in accordance with company policies and contractual requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned

Reporting Structure

  • Reports to the Chief Information Officer
  • This position does not have direct reports.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Systems analysis?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proficiency in system analysis and design methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with database management systems and software development life cycles.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of programming languages is a plus.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Time management and organizational skills.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a systems analyst or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of software development, system architecture, and project management methodologies.
  • Proficient in translating business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Experience with data analysis, reporting tools, network, and database management.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

Travel

  • 5% Travel Required
  • The frequency of travel may be adjusted as needed to accommodate specific tasks.

Physical Requirements

Sedentary work in a climate-controlled environment with moderate noise levels. Most duties performed require the use of a computer, phone, and in-person or virtual meetings. Maintain a stationary position for prolonged periods during the shift. Constant operation of computer and other office equipment such as copy machine, phone, and printer. Occasionally, transport objects up to 15 lbs. such as small parcels, packages, and other items.
