Job description
The position of Senior Systems Analyst reports directly to the Business Intelligence manager. This position serves as a critical role for core IT operations such as software management, database administration, Integration programing (REST APIs) and report. The position maintains, implements and administers SD1’s business applications for billing, accounting, human resources and capital project management. Oversee the SCADA system environment reporting. Coordinates with other employees to design, schedule and implement training classes for Sanitation District No. 1 (SD1) employees. Assist other IT employees with all aspects of the work associated with the IT department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned.)

Design, implement, monitor, and maintain Systems integration library (Rest APIs and SQL programs). Formulate techniques (reporting, extraction …) for data quality to ensure data integrity.

Technical Management of SD1’s main administrative systems (billing system, human resources and General ledger, capital project management) consisting of development and production.
- Software administration (patch management, upgrade planning/implementation, system licensing)

Design and develop custom reports and tools to support SD1’s strategic business plan.

Process and product design/improvement through advancement of business applications, system integrations and data analytics.

Fixing software and hardware configuration issues for users on-demand or from inspection of the systems.

Research/development for future system enhancements.

Read current literature, collaborate with colleagues, continue education, and participate in professional organizations/conferences to keep abreast of developments in technology, equipment, or systems.

Requirements

Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum) from college or university and minimum 3 years employment as a Systems Analyst (or equivalent); or related experience and IT training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- API Programming

- Microsoft 365 management
