We are looking for an enthusiastic self-starter to join our team; The Remediation Centre of Excellence requires experienced Lead Business Intelligence Specialists. We are looking for proficient, dedicated and customer-focussed data and insight professionals with experience of Nationwide and/or Virgin Money data to support our efforts to put things right for customers, ensuring we move at speed and with efficiency while doing the right thing at every stage.

As our name suggests, the Remediation Centre of Excellence is a specialised cross-community capability which rapidly assimilates knowledge and builds an understanding of emerging issues and incidents to effectively manage and plan the required remediation for impacted customers. The Lead Business Intelligence Specialist is a specialist role.
You’ll be responsible for the shaping, development and management of data processes and analysis solutions to enable the team to respond to remediations and put issues right as they arise with pace.

This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract opportunity.

What you’ll be doing As a Lead Business Intelligence Specialist in Remediations, you will be responsible for shaping, building, and managing specialist insight, customer populations, and data processes in line with agreed service level agreements. This includes supporting the improvement of the existing reporting estate, managing data effectively, and developing data standards that contribute to the successful delivery of the Data Analysis and Insight team’s outcomes. You will also drive automation and simplification of data processes to improve efficiency, resilience, and data quality.
You will work closely with stakeholders through strong business partnering, helping them to clearly define business requirements and translating these into effective data and insight solutions. The role involves producing and delivering ad hoc analysis to support decision-making within Remediations, as well as applying appropriate statistical techniques to define and select robust data samples where required.
In addition, you will build and maintain strong cross-community relationships and contribute to the development of a collaborative and high-performing team. Requirements
Significant experience coding in SAS and SQL
- Ability to provide highly-effective subject matter expertise to both internal and external stakeholders, translating complex data findings to easily consumable stories that drive action
- Extensive experience of understanding business needs or regulatory requirements and delivering workable, efficient reporting and analysis solutions
- Experience in Financial Services
- A background in advising, challenging and coaching business stakeholders in how to drive value from data, increasing understanding and use of data
- Extensive practitioner experience within data and analytics environments
- Experience in simplification and automation of regular data processes
- Experience building relations with multiple and varied stakeholders across the business to understand requirements and produce high quality outputs (both verbally and in writing)
