Job description
The role is to provide first-line IT support in various locations across Surrey and to assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware, software, and peripheral equipment. The postholder will deliver excellent customer service, helping users resolve technical issues efficiently while supporting the day-to-day operation of the organisation’s IT systems and ensuring equipment is set up, maintained, and available for use. The post supports the IT systems manager in overseeing the daily operation of the organisation’s IT environment, ensuring systems, networks, and applications run smoothly and securely. This role includes assisting in the management of the IT support function, maintaining infrastructure, and ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality technical services. Role and Responsibilities: IT Support and Helpdesk
- Responding to IT support requests from care staff, managers, and office personnel.
- Troubleshooting computer, laptop, printer, and mobile device issues.
- Resetting passwords and unlocking user accounts.
- Assisting staff with Microsoft 365 applications such as Outlook, Word, Teams, and Excel.
- Logging and tracking support tickets
Hardware Setup and Maintenance
- Setting up new computers, laptops, tablets, and phones.
- Installing and replacing equipment.
- Performing routine maintenance and updates.
- Diagnosing hardware faults and arranging repairs or replacements.
User Account Administration
- Creating and disabling user accounts for new starters and leavers.
- Managing permissions and access rights.
- Supporting multi-factor authentication (MFA) and password policies.
Supporting Care Software
- Assisting users with electronic care planning systems.
- Escalating software issues to vendors when necessary.

Requirements
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications and user accounts
- Ability to diagnose and resolve common hardware and software issues
- Experience installing and configuring hardware and software
