Job description
The Data Protection Coordinator will help embed privacy compliance into daily business operations. Working with IT Security, Legal and key stakeholders, youâll support responsible data management, regulatory compliance, project delivery and improved data governance across the organisation. You will be required to attend our Head Office in Barton-Upon Humber once a week Main Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and support the organisationâs data protection programme.
- Support with Data Subject Rights Requests (DSARs), including Subject Access Requests, Right to Erasure, Rectification and Restriction requests.
- Assist departments with completing Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
- Maintain and review the Record of Processing Activities (ROPA).
- Support investigations into data protection incidents and personal data breaches.
- Assist with ICO reporting requirements where necessary.
- Conduct privacy reviews of new projects, systems and suppliers.
- Review supplier due diligence and Data Processing Agreements (DPAs).
- Support third-party risk assessments from a privacy perspective.
- Develop and maintain privacy policies, procedures and guidance.
- Deliver or coordinate staff awareness and data protection training.
- Monitor changes to UK data protection legislation and ICO guidance.
- Support internal and external audits relating to data protection.
- Produce compliance reports and management information.
- Work closely with Information Security, Legal, HR and business stakeholders to ensure privacy requirements are met.
You must comply with all Health & Safety policies, procedures, and responsibilities outlined within the Integrated Management System
Requirements
Experience working with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Experience managing Data Subject Rights Requests. Understanding of Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs). Knowledge of Records of Processing Activities (ROPA). Experience handling personal data incidents. Strong understanding of data protection principles.
