Java Developer Newcastle Upon Tyne Hybrid (3 days onsite) Up to £45,000 plus bonus We’re working with a leading global technology and professional services organisation that delivers innovative digital, cloud and engineering solutions across a wide range of industries. This is an opportunity to join a highly skilled engineering team, developing enterprise Java applications and delivering secure, scalable solutions for high-profile clients. As a Java Developer, you’ll build and maintain microservices using Java and Spring Boot in an agile environment. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver secure cloud-based solutions, following best practices in software development, testing and continuous integration. What You’ll Need as a Java Developer Proven experience as a Java Developer with at least 2-5 years in a commercial environment. Commercial experience with Java (JDK 11+) and Spring Boot. Experience developing microservices and enterprise applications. Experience with enterprise middleware platforms, including WebLogic Server and CAS SDK. Experience deploying applications into public cloud environments such as AWS using containers. Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitLab, Jenkins and SonarQube. Strong understanding of Test Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration and Continuous Testing. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Eligible to obtain SC Security Clearance (5 years’ continuous UK address history required). Java Developer Package Bonus Private medical insurance.
