Job description

  • Programming leadership - Write, modify, and optimize CNC programs; establish operation sequences; choose tools; set feeds/speeds; prepare geometric layouts and toolpaths, including efficient nesting.
  • Setup excellence - Create setup sheets and operator instructions that make complex jobs simple and repeatable.
  • Precision first - Run simulations and tests, verify first-article parts, and monitor production to blueprint specifications with in-process measurements.
  • Continuous improvement - Simplify tooling selection, remove inefficiencies, troubleshoot, reprogram when needed, and document enhancements that save time and cost.
  • Safe, skilled operation - Produce parts to schedule on CNC and manual machines; operate mills, lathes, and auxiliary tooling (attachments, collets, bushings, stops, stock pushers, indicating vises) safely and accurately.
  • Clear communication - Maintain production/quality logs, manage remnant inventory, and ensure seamless handoffs between shifts.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Writing skills?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * 5+ years of machine shop experience; strong math/reading/writing.

  • Mechanical ASSY understanding; fluent in GD&T and blueprint interpretation.
  • Ability to follow verbal/written instructions and collaborate effectively.
  • Strengths in conceptual thinking, process improvement, communication, controls/instrumentation, supply management, tooling, inventory control, judgment, and attention to detail.
  • Preferred: Autodesk Fusion nesting experience; CAD/CAM nesting software familiarity; safe work habits; reliable attendance; proven team orientation.

Physical requirements, education, and schedule

  • Stand for long periods; frequently carry, grasp, reach, pull, and stoop for parts/supplies.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Normal work hours (5 - 8 hour days -Mon - Fri) with flexibility for overtime.
