Job description

The Infrastructure Engineer plays a critical role in the design, construction, and implementation of systems and solutions that support Hyland’s corporate IT infrastructure. This position serves as an escalation point for addressing requests and resolving issues related to systems and users, while continuously identifying opportunities to enhance existing environments for greater efficiency and security.

As a member of the Client Services Engineering Team, this role focuses on developing solutions that support, maintain, and optimize environments managing imaging, patching, and protection of company-owned resources - all within a hybrid-cloud architecture., * Design, manage, and support IT systems within a hybrid-cloud architecture, ensuring the security, integrity, and confidentiality of systems and data.

  • Engineer, maintain, and protect Windows and macOS devices; oversee systems that manage imaging, patching, and protection of company-owned resources.
  • Plan and execute projects and related requests that support department initiatives, while collaborating on best practices, standards, and processes for system design and administration.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues; perform problem-solving, root-cause, and postmortem analyses to drive continuous process improvements.
  • Document the design, operation, and procedures of implemented solutions and technology platforms; compose internal training materials and conduct training sessions where applicable.
  • Assist with compliance initiatives such as gathering evidence for certification audits; comply with all corporate and departmental privacy and data security policies and practices., Endpoint Management Microsoft Configuration Manager, Windows Autopatch (Windows Update for Business)

Requirements

  • More than five years of experience as a Systems Administrator in a Windows environment.
  • More than two years of experience with Microsoft Intune, Jamf Pro, or a similar MDM platform.
  • Experience with scripting, application deployment packaging, and Microsoft Configuration Manager.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to write concise, logical, and grammatically correct documentation.
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail and proven troubleshooting skills., * Experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and public cloud solutions.
  • Familiarity or experience with macOS and Jamf Pro in an enterprise environment.
  • Familiarity or experience with Windows Autopatch (Windows Update for Business).
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to serve as a reliable escalation point for requests and issue resolution.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements to existing systems and solutions to increase overall efficiency.
