Job description

SAIC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Automated Tester to join our team supporting the Interoperability Engineering System (IES) software onsite at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL. This role is ideal for candidates with a foundational understanding of software testing and a strong interest in ensuring the quality and performance of software applications. As an Automated Tester, you will play a critical role in validating system functionality and contributing to the success of the IES, * Develop and execute automated test scripts to validate system functionality and performance.

Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to identify testing requirements and clarify project needs.
Document and track defects using bug tracking tools, ensuring clear communication of issues.
Maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and scripts.
Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing issues encountered during testing.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to process and quality improvements.
Use Git for version control to manage test scripts and documentation.
Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging software testing technologies.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of experience; Additional six (6) years of relevant experience can be considered in lieu of a degree., * Must possess an active Interim Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance; US Citizenship required., * Experience in creating, executing, and debugging automated test scripts to validate functionality, performance, and system behaviors.
Familiarity with tools and frameworks commonly used in test automation (e.g., TestComplete, Eggplant etc.)
Proficiency in using Git for version control to collaborate with teams, manage test scripts, track changes, and maintain documentation integrity.
Understanding of Scrum ceremonies, sprint cycles, and backlog management tools (e.g., JIRA).
Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language for automation, such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or C#.

Preferred Skills

Familiarity with Link 16
Certifications like ISTQB, Certified Selenium Tester, or certifications in specific tools
Experience with additional programming languages or testing frameworks is a plus.
