Senior Staff Software Engineer - Data Platform

• Design and build the lakehouse infrastructure and streaming ingestion
• Set the technical direction and engineering standards for the data platform
• Write production code to solve complex challenges and lead design reviews
• Collaborate with other teams to improve data accessibility and usability
• Enhance the reliability and performance of existing production systems
• Conduct blameless postmortems to foster a culture of learning and improvement
• Participate in on-call pager duty as part of operational responsibilities

• 5-10 years of experience building data platforms, not just pipelines
• Deep understanding of lakehouse frameworks like Iceberg or Delta in production
• Strong proficiency in Python, with additional expertise in Go or Java
• Proven track record of evolving and improving live infrastructure
• Experience leading significant platform transitions from design to delivery
• Strong influencing skills with a proven ability to build cross-team alignment
• History of mentoring and growing engineering peers
