Job description

In this role, you’ll be at the controls of our network infrastructure, ensuring reliable continuous connectivity across airport operations. From monitoring performance to configuring hardware and software, you’ll act as both pilot and air traffic controller-guiding data safely and efficiently to its destination. When turbulence hits, you’ll troubleshoot connectivity and security issues across wired and wireless systems, keeping everything on course. You’ll play a key role in expanding and modernizing our network, helping integrate critical technologies like access control, surveillance, and communications systems. Working closely with internal teams, vendors, and external partners, you’ll help ensure our network remains secure, compliant, and aligned with the evolving needs of the airport., * Monitors and maintains campus-wide network infrastructure, including switches, routers, wireless access points, and related systems, to ensure continuous and reliable operation.

  • Supports network-related projects and system integrations, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure compatibility, security, and adherence to network standards.
  • Installs, maintains, and repairs network cabling infrastructure, including copper and fiber optic systems, to support operational and security systems.
  • Deploys and supports network connectivity for access control, badging systems, and CCTV infrastructure, ensuring proper integration, configuration, and operational reliability.
  • Responds to service requests and incidents related to network connectivity, performance, and system availability.

Experience Required:

  • 3 years’ experience in networking or related IT role

Preferred:

  • 5 years’ experience in networking or related IT role

Licenses or Certifications Required:

  • Valid NC Driver’s License
  • CCNA / JNCIS or ability to obtain within 6 months of start date.

Preferred:

  • MCSD or MCSE: App Builder
