Job description

As the Agile servant leader for one or more cross-functional software development teams, you will facilitate Agile execution, coach teams on Scrum best practices, remove delivery impediments, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Working closely with Product Owners, Technical Program Managers, Engineering Leads, UX/UI designers, DevSecOps engineers, cybersecurity specialists, and Army stakeholders, you will help ensure mission requirements are translated into secure, high-quality software delivered at operational speed.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about enabling high-performing software teams while supporting the development of cloud-native, AI-enabled applications deployed within secure Department of Defense environments.

Join a high-performing software team building next-generation capabilities that directly support U.S. Army modernization. As a Scrum Master, you’ll play a critical role in enabling Agile software delivery by helping cross-functional teams rapidly develop, test, and deploy secure, cloud-native applications that improve operational decision-making and mission effectiveness. Working alongside Product Owners, Technical Program Managers, Engineering Leads, software engineers, UX/UI designers, cybersecurity specialists, and Army stakeholders, you’ll help build mission-critical software that delivers real-world impact for Soldiers operating across enterprise cloud and Tactical Edge Compute (TEC) environments.

LMI is a new breed of digital solutions provider dedicated to accelerating government impact with innovation and speed. Investing in technology and prototypes ahead of need, LMI brings commercial-grade platforms and mission-ready AI to federal agencies at commercial speed.

Leveraging our mission-ready technology and solutions, proven expertise in federal deployment, and strategic relationships, we enhance outcomes for the government efficiently and effectively. With a focus on agility and collaboration, LMI serves the defense, space, healthcare, and energy sectors-helping agencies navigate complexity and outpace change. Headquartered in Tysons, Virginia, LMI is committed to delivering impactful results that strengthen missions and drive lasting value.

If you’re passionate about servant leadership, Agile delivery, and helping software teams build mission-critical capabilities for Soldiers, we’d love to hear from you. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration between software engineering, UX/UI, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, platform engineering, and forward deployed engineering teams.

  • Identify, track, and help remove organizational and technical impediments that impact team velocity, quality, or predictability.

  • Maintain Agile metrics including velocity, sprint burndown, throughput, cumulative flow, and team health metrics to support forecasting and continuous improvement.

  • Promote predictable, sustainable software delivery while balancing mission priorities, quality, and cybersecurity requirements.

  • Support release planning, software demonstrations, customer feedback sessions, and operational fielding activities.

  • Encourage close collaboration with Army users to ensure operational feedback is continuously incorporated into future product iterations.
