Job description

  • This position will be the first point of contact for users needing IT Assistance.
  • While providing the highest level of customer service, the IT Help Desk Tech will answer incoming calls, track information/progress, and resolve requests or escalate to the appropriate IT team member.
  • Provide ongoing support for PCs, printers, scanners and other peripheral devices.
  • Assist end users with questions, problems and simple application.
  • Competent to work on most phases of personal computing technologies and advises users and management upon request.
  • Conducts research and self-directed study on local Area Network technologies.

Requirements

  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Associates or Bachelors’ degree in computer science or related field preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of PCs, technology, software applications; ability to gain and apply expertise, trouble shoot, analyze situations to determine next steps and ability to prioritize work.
  • Excellent written/oral communication and customer service skills required.
  • Previous IT Help Desk experience preferred.
