Job description

We are looking for an experienced Sage 300 Upgrade Specialist to lead critical updates across Sage-related platforms and databases. This long-term contract position requires a detail-oriented individual with a deep understanding of ERP systems, particularly Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate, and its connected modules. Based in Irving, Texas, this role involves assessing current environments, planning upgrade paths, ensuring compatibility, and executing or guiding upgrade activities., * Evaluate the existing Sage 300 ecosystem and identify upgrade paths for each module.

  • Assess system compatibility and prerequisites for transitioning to targeted versions.
  • Develop and implement a detailed upgrade plan, including risk management, backup strategies, and testing protocols.
  • Collaborate closely with internal IT teams to minimize downtime during upgrades.
  • Execute upgrades or provide comprehensive guidance for their completion.
  • Validate post-upgrade performance and resolve any issues effectively.
  • Ensure compatibility of related systems, including eTakeoff, eiDynamics, and Pervasive Database.
  • Document all processes, steps, and resolutions for future reference.
  • Coordinate vendor requirements and assess unknown system compatibility as needed.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience upgrading Sage 300 environments from older versions (v18 or v19) to newer releases (v22 or v23).
  • Hands-on expertise with MyAssistant, Estimating, Replicator, Paperless, and eTakeoff modules.
  • Strong knowledge of server migrations, particularly Microsoft server transitions to v15.
  • Familiarity with compatibility requirements for Pervasive Database in Sage environments.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve upgrade-related issues.
  • Excellent documentation skills, including detailed reporting of processes and resolutions.
  • Experience working with clients in the construction and real estate industries is highly desirable.
  • Background in phased rollouts and environment validation is a plus.
