Job description

We are part of Mobileye’s REM (Road Experience Management) organization, responsible for the HD maps that power Mobileye’s autonomous driving technologies. Our team develops the in-vehicle map platform, including smart cloud map downloads, caching, map management, efficient APIs for map consumers, and protocols for distributing map data across vehicle ECUs. We also develop map-based algorithms such as route calculation and lane network generation, which are key components of autonomous driving systems. This is a highly technical role involving embedded software, large-scale map data, performance optimization, and collaboration across multiple engineering teams.

What your job will look like:

  • Design and develop high-performance C++ software for embedded automotive systems
  • Develop infrastructure for HD map download, caching, storage, and distribution
  • Build efficient APIs and communication protocols for map consumers
  • Develop map-based algorithms, including routing and lane network generation
  • Optimize software for performance, memory usage, and reliability
  • Collaborate with algorithm, cloud, and infrastructure teams to deliver production solutions
  • Lead technical design discussions and mentor other engineers

Requirements

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience developing production software in C++
  • Strong understanding of software design and object-oriented programming
  • Experience developing embedded or performance-critical software
  • Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to independently lead complex technical tasks
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with autonomous driving systems
  • Experience with map technologies, GIS, navigation, or routing algorithms
  • Experience with cloud-connected embedded systems
  • Experience with distributed systems or communication protocols
  • Experience optimizing software for CPU, memory, and latency

Mobileye changes the way we drive, from preventing accidents to semi and fully autonomous vehicles. If you are an excellent, bright, hands-on person with a passion to make a difference come to lead the revolution!
