JRSS NOC Technician

• Must have an active DoD Secret security clearance. \n
• Must have DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE, or equivalent) at start date. \n
• High school Diploma and at least 2-4 years of experience. \n
• Ability to work in a 24/7 operation. \n
• Experience with one or more of the following: alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance, performance management. \n
• Expertise in one or more of the following: routers, switches, routing protocols, CISCO, Juniper, MPLS. \n
• General understanding of network topologies. \n, * Circuit actions and vendor experience \n
• IP architecture experience \n
• Telco NOC, inside or outside plant experience. \n
• Experience with MS Office suite, i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, TEAMs \n
• Experience with one or more of the following: alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance, performance management, change management. \n
• Any additional certifications to include: CCNA, JNCIA-Junos, F5 Networks Certified Technical Specialist, ITILv4. \n

n Our customer is the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and acts as the provider of GIG/Defense Information System Network (DISN) services to its customers, the department of Defense (DoD) and national security organizations. This position directly supports the DISA-provided GIG capabilities and services in the 24x7 DISA Global Operations Center (DGOC). \n \n The Leidos Digital Modernization Sector and Global Solutions Management-Operations II (GSMO-II) have an opening in our Joint Regional Security Stack (JRSS) NOC for a JRSS NOC Technician at Scott AFB, IL. \n \n \nThe anticipated salary range for this position is $75,000 to $85,000 \n \n \nPrimary Responsibilities \n \n Responsible for performing and training team on the following duties: \n \n \n

• Execute network operations to include analysis of customer traffic across the MPLS and JRSS infrastructure. \n
• Perform real-time customer failover to restore services during scheduled and unscheduled outages and maintenance actions. \n
• Work directly with supported customers and peers to ensure maximum network availability to minimize or eliminate mission and operational impact. \n
• Proactively monitor network alarms across platform specific network management tools. \n
• Perform a variety of change management tasks which include hardware replacement, software configurations, and ASI management. \n
• Utilize incident management applications to document all aspects of reported outages/degradations, isolations, escalations, and resolutions during the lifecycle of a service impacting network incident. \n
• Assess and identify resolutions to various network incidents and/or deficiencies leveraging knowledge in one or more of following: routers, switches, routing protocols, MPLS, VPN technologies, IDS/IPS, proxies, packet capture, network taps, load balancing, firewalls, out-of-band management. \n, Beware of fake employment opportunities using Leidos’ name.
