Job description
As a Senior Alarm Systems Technician, you’ll take the lead in keeping critical security systems running, not just installing them. This Jacksonville-based role is ideal for a technician who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and being the expert customers rely on when something isn’t working.
This position is primarily service-focused (90% service / 10% install), giving you the opportunity to sharpen your troubleshooting skills across a wide range of systems - from legacy panels to modern smart security and access control platforms. Our techs are trusted to own their territory, make decisions in the field, and operate with autonomy. Additionally, you’ll also play a key role in supporting team success by sharing knowledge and helping less experienced techs grow.
This opportunity is ideal for a technician who prefers service and troubleshooting over heavy install work, enjoys working across a mix of modern and legacy systems, and wants the freedom to own their day and solve problems in the field. If you’re someone who takes pride in figuring things out, fixing what others can’t, and being the person customers trust to get systems back online quickly - this is a role where you’ll thrive.
What You’ll Get in This Jacksonville Role:
- Predictable schedule & work-life balance: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM; weekend work is rare
- Overtime & on-call opportunities: Join the on-call rotation after 60 days (typically one week at a time)
- Company-provided resources: Vehicle, gas card, cell phone, and laptop provided - no personal vehicle required
- Autonomy in the field: Once trained, you’ll be trusted to manage your schedule and service calls independently
- Career growth: Annual performance-based increases and ongoing training opportunities
- Stability & long-term careers: Many Vector technicians build decades-long careers here
What You’ll Do:
- Perform service, troubleshooting, and inspection of alarm, access control, and CCTV systems across commercial and residential environments

- Trace, test, and repair wiring and system components to restore functionality efficiently
