Job description

This position will lead data management, analysis, reporting, and evaluation activities for federally funded research and program evaluation projects in the field of child welfare and adoption., * Conduct advanced quantitative and qualitative data analyses to support research, evaluation, and program improvement activities. Analyze program outcomes, trends, and performance indicators and communicate findings through reports, dashboards, visualizations, and presentations. Support the design and implementation of evaluation activities across multiple project areas. Conduct data collection, survey development and administration, data cleaning, analysis, interpretation, and reporting. Contribute to logic models, theories of change, work plans, and evaluation deliverables.

  • Support the design, development, and maintenance of databases and data tracking systems for project implementation and evaluation. Develop tools and processes that facilitate data sharing and decision-making among project staff and external partners.
  • Maintain documentation related to data sources, reporting specifications, analytic procedures, coding frameworks, and data management processes. Establish and monitor data quality assurance and validation procedures.
  • Assist with development and management of project work plans, timelines, Gantt charts, and evaluation deliverables. Monitor progress toward project goals and reporting deadlines. Participate in planning activities related to new project initiatives, scope changes, and evaluation requirements.
  • Train and mentor staff, graduate research assistants, and project personnel on analytic methods, data management procedures, and software tools. Provide guidance on data validation, reporting standards, and best practices.
  • Utilize platforms such as Airtable, Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS), Excel, NVivo, and survey administration tools. Develop data visualizations, dashboards, and user-facing reporting tools. Explore and apply emerging technologies, including AI-supported data and reporting tools, to improve efficiency and effectiveness., The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length., Employees may be required to report violations of law under Title IX and the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act). Requirements

This is a grant-funded position and reassignment will be based upon performance, progress toward research goals and continuation of funding. Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer without sponsorship. Ability for remote work., Bachelor’s Degree in social work, psychology, education, statistics, data science, or other related field with at least 5 years of experience in data analysis/reporting. Experience utilizing Airtable and relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Microsoft SQL Server. Demonstrated expertise in quantitative and qualitative data analysis. Experience developing dashboards, reports, and data visualization products. Excellent attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Values the contributions of others in the work environment. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate., Master’s or Doctoral Degree in social work, psychology, education, statistics, data science, or other related field with more than the required 5 years of experience in data analysis/reporting. Experience with program evaluation and/or applied research on federally funded projects.
