Job description

  • Lead the technical direction for Bazel build system and remote build execution
  • Steer the development of Go frameworks and standard libraries across the company
  • Design initiatives to improve build times and CI reliability
  • Own and define developer experience metrics for the systems led
  • Collaborate with teams to implement changes with minimal disruption
  • Set performance and reliability standards for systems owned
  • Mentor and grow the Bazel and Go expertise within the engineering community

Requirements

  • 10+ years of software development experience
  • Expertise with Bazel, including remote caching and performance tuning
  • Production experience with Go services and structuring large codebases
  • History of leading cross-team technical initiatives that improve developer velocity
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS, and distributed systems
  • Strong technical leadership and mentoring skills
