Job description

To maintain classroom technology and network equipment in operating condition and assists in resolving software application problems., * Assists with troubleshooting, planning for and the installation of new/existing technology equipment, network equipment, and various software application.

  • Monitors, configures, maintains and repairs technology and network equipment.
  • Build, repair, configure, image PC desktop, laptops, tablets.
  • Maintains and documents work records and equipment inventory.
  • Transports equipment, supplies and materials to appropriate job sites.
  • Assists in user training and information updates for network users.
  • Coordinates repairs with Vendors, Network Admin or Director.
  • Account creation and management of various software applications.
  • Performs other duties as assigned., The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must use hands, arms and fingers to input data, handle, feel or reach; employee may occasionally push or lift up to 50 lbs. such as boxes, supplies, etc. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as to read handwritten or typed material, and the ability to adjust focus, close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud and can vary in temperature. The nature of this position is fast-paced and may occasionally be thought of as stressful. Through interaction with the public and other district employees, the employee may encounter different scents.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma and 18 months computer network installation and/or computer maintenance experience.
  • Additionally, an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge and skill.

  • Computers, operating systems and networks.
  • Technology equipment used in educational settings.
  • Software applications and multiple computer platforms.
  • Tools and equipment used in computer installation, repair and maintenance.

  • Operating computers and various software applications.
  • Troubleshooting, installing and maintaining computer hardware and software.
  • Troubleshooting, installing and maintaining technology equipment.
  • Written and oral communication.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with others.
  • Ability to work independently without any supervision.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
