Job description

  • Develop detailed system requirements and overall software architecture.
  • Design, develop, and test embedded software applications and control algorithms.
  • Create comprehensive test plans to validate system safety, reliability, and performance.
  • Execute testing activities across simulation environments and real-world vehicle applications.
  • Participate in software development, peer reviews, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Follow CMMI Level 3 procedures and software safety development processes.
  • Evaluate system designs for functionality, safety, reliability, and performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline plus 5+ years of relevant experience; OR
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field plus 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience programming embedded controllers using: *

  • C/C++
  • PLC programming such as Structured Text
  • 5+ years of software testing experience, preferably within vehicle systems environments.
  • Experience with network communications technologies, including: *

  • CAN Bus
  • Ethernet
  • Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) communications, * Experience developing software for vehicle control systems, including on-road or off-highway vehicles.
  • Hands-on experience with autonomous or self-driving vehicle technologies.
  • Experience integrating driver warning and driver assistance systems.
  • Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies.
  • Experience using SysML for system modeling and architecture documentation.
  • Experience with sensors and perception systems, including: *

  • Radar
  • LiDAR
  • Computer Vision
  • UNIX/Linux programming experience.
  • Strong software system design capabilities.
