Job description
We are seeking an IT Support Technician to join our friendly and fast-growing Managed Service Provider. You will provide friendly technical assistance and support to our clients via email, telephone, and occasional on-site visits. The role will primarily be 1st line support with the exposure to more complex 2nd and 3rd line support tickets.
This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience with a wide range of IT systems, cloud services, and tools used by our clients across multiple industries. You’ll work closely as part as a key part of our small team, developing new skills in a supportive environment., * Provide technical support to clients on a variety of IT issues via telephone and email.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems in a logical and organised manner.
- Install, configure, and maintain software and hardware.
- Deploy and set up new equipment (laptops/desktops) in client environments.
- Respond to IT support tickets promptly, keeping clients updated and following up once resolved.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve more complex issues.
- Assist in IT projects and system upgrades.
- Translate technical issues into plain English for clients, ensuring a positive customer experience.
- Manage workload effectively to meet client expectations.
Requirements
- Microsoft 365 Admin Centre
- Windows 10/11 operating systems
- Customer service (telephone, email, remote support)
- Helpdesk/ticketing systems (Halo PSA experience beneficial), * Full UK driving licence with access to a car for client site visits.
- Strong customer service and telephone manner.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems and common windows applications.
- Confident, clear communicator who enjoys helping people.
- Good organisational skills., * GCSE or equivalent (required)
Experience:
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- Technical support: 1 year (preferred)
