Job description

We are seeking an experienced, solutions-driven IT Specialist II to provide advanced technical support, manage critical IT infrastructure, and support security and operational initiatives that ensure the reliability, efficiency, and performance of our technology environment., This role acts as a bridge between frontline IT support and systems administration, assuming ownership of complex technical issues, supporting infrastructure and security initiatives, and contributing to IT projects that enhance reliability, security, and operational efficiency., Advanced User & Endpoint Support

  • Serve as the escalation point for complex desktop, laptop, application, and endpoint incidents.
  • Resolve advanced technical issues affecting multiple users, systems, or locations.
  • Manage hardware lifecycle activities including deployment, replacement, and asset management.
  • Support endpoint management, software deployment, patching, and compliance activities.

Identity & Access Administration

  • Administer user accounts, groups, and permissions within Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Support authentication technologies including MFA, Conditional Access, and role-based access controls.
  • Assist with access reviews and identity governance processes.

Infrastructure Support

  • Provide operational support for Windows Server environments, file services, printing, and core infrastructure systems.
  • Assist with network troubleshooting involving switching, wireless connectivity, VPN access, and firewall-related issues.
  • Participate in backup monitoring, disaster recovery testing, and system maintenance activities.
  • Support server patching, upgrades, and infrastructure improvement initiatives.

Security & Compliance

  • Support cybersecurity controls and endpoint security initiatives.
  • Investigate and document security alerts and operational risks.
  • Participate in audit preparation, compliance activities, and policy enforcement.
  • Assist with vulnerability remediation efforts.

Project & Continuous Improvement

  • Participate in infrastructure deployments, technology upgrades, and systems implementations.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and service improvement.
  • Provide mentoring and knowledge sharing to junior IT staff.

Requirements

  • Strong customer and stakeholder orientation with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical users
  • Advanced troubleshooting, analytical thinking, root-cause analysis, and structured problem-solving skills
  • Solid knowledge of Windows 10/11, endpoint administration, user environments, and standard business applications
  • Practical experience with endpoint support, device lifecycle management, ticket handling, and operational documentation
  • Ability to coordinate tasks, support projects, work with external providers, and maintain reliable IT service delivery
  • Good understanding of IT security, compliance awareness, access control principles, and audit-ready working practices, * Approximately 5-8 years of experience in IT support, IT operations, infrastructure administration, or a comparable technical IT role
  • Microsoft 365 / Office 365 administration and support
  • Active Directory user, group, computer, and access management
  • Windows 10/11 endpoint administration and troubleshooting
  • Microsoft Entra ID, basic security administration, and audit-oriented documentation

Preferred:

  • CompTIA Security+, Network+, Microsoft role-based certifications, or comparable practical experience
  • Windows Server 2016 or newer, including basic server administration and operational troubleshooting
  • Exchange Online administration and mailbox-related support activities
  • Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD identity, access, and authentication concepts
  • Experience with HPE/Aruba switching infrastructure
  • Experience with firewall administration, preferably Palo Alto
  • Experience with ticketing, endpoint management, and IT operations platforms

(ServiceDesk Plus, Endpoint Central, or comparable systems)
