Job description

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack PHP Developer to join our internal engineering team and play a key role in the continued development of SPEX, our proprietary ERP/CRM system that powers every department across the company.

Working alongside our Lead Developer, you will build, enhance, and maintain business-critical applications, backend services, APIs, ETL processes, and user-facing tools that support our e-commerce operations, warehouse, purchasing, customer service, finance, and retail teams.

This is an excellent opportunity for a developer who enjoys solving real business problems, building scalable applications, and seeing the direct impact of their work throughout an organization., * Design, develop, and maintain features within our proprietary ERP/CRM system (SPEX)

  • Build scalable backend services and REST APIs using PHP and Laravel
  • Develop responsive frontend applications using Vue.js, JavaScript, Bootstrap, HTML, and CSS
  • Design, optimize, and maintain MySQL databases and queries
  • Build and maintain ETL processes that support reporting and business intelligence initiatives
  • Troubleshoot application issues, optimize performance, and resolve bugs across the platform
  • Collaborate with Purchasing, Operations, Warehouse, Customer Service, E-Commerce, Finance, and other departments to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions
  • Participate in planning, architecture discussions, code reviews, and system improvements
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following development best practices
  • Document system architecture, workflows, APIs, and deployment procedures
  • Work closely with the Lead Developer to continuously improve our internal applications and development processes

Requirements

This position requires strong professional experience with PHP. Candidates without commercial PHP development experience will not be considered., * 3+ years of professional PHP development experience (Required)

  • Strong experience developing applications with PHP and Laravel
  • Strong knowledge of MySQL, database design, and query optimization
  • Experience building REST APIs and backend services
  • Experience with JavaScript and modern frontend development
  • Experience with Git and version control
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to independently own projects
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Must be able to work on-site in Brooklyn Monday through Thursday, with Fridays remote
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship, * Experience with Vue.js or another modern JavaScript framework
  • Experience building internal business applications or ERP systems
  • Experience with ETL processes, reporting, or business intelligence solutions
  • Familiarity with SQL Server or SSIS
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment
