Job description

The Print Coordinator Technician will oversee all onsite printing and bookbinding, and will strategically plan and develop processes to improve productivity and produce materials. The Print Coordinator Technician must understand the operation and mechanics of equipment to appropriately service the equipment. This position will also direct team members and ensure that the production of products goes on uninterrupted during times of maintenance and training., * Collaborate with the Production Supervisor to research better solutions, equipment, and processes to improve efficiency and production.

  • Organize and direct all printing of products, i.e., books, inserts, covers, and letters.
  • Develop a strategic workflow for every job to promote efficiency and productivity.
  • Utilize Smartsheet for workflow.
  • Maintain all equipment for optimal use and to decrease the need for repairs.
  • Identify and resolve malfunctions and hardware failures.
  • Work closely with service techs to identify problems and learn the workings of the equipment.
  • Operate printers, laminator, binder, envelope printer, and inserter.
  • Prepare for and attend all regularly scheduled team meetings and other meetings upon request.
  • Train and direct Print Operator.
  • Lead regular check-ins and meetings as necessary with the Print Operator to ensure continued team continuity.
  • Administer coaching and correction for the Print Operator and prepare documentation as necessary.
  • Ensure adequate raw materials inventory levels are maintained.
  • Order supplies as needed in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedure documents for all printing processes and systems.
  • Complete all other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to troubleshoot and think independently.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Familiar with Windows-based computers and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to operate a pallet jack and hand truck.
  • High degree of mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50lbs.
  • Ability to stand for several hours a day.

Requirements:

  • Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Must sign the Statement of Faith.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent education is required.
  • A Charis Bible College graduate is preferred.
  • Must either be certified or have the ability to be certified in the operation of forklifts.
  • Must have a clean driving record and be insurable to operate a company vehicle.
  • Must pass all required checks.

Experience:

  • Mechanical background preferred.
  • Prior printing and binding experience preferred.
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.
