Job description

Clinical Skills Institute is seeking an expert-level Wix performance specialist to optimize the speed, Core Web Vitals, tracking configuration, and mobile user experience of our high-traffic website:

https://www.clinicalskillsinstitute.com

This is not a general website-design, SEO-content, or image-compression project. We need someone with advanced experience in Wix Editor, Velo, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads conversion tracking, GA4, TikTok Pixel, Meta Pixel, third-party applications, and Core Web Vitals.

Current Performance Findings

Our preliminary technical audit identified:

  • Approximately 412 network requests on the homepage
  • Approximately 193 JavaScript requests
  • Approximately 4.48 MB of transferred JavaScript
  • Duplicate Google Tag Manager loading
  • Multiple Google Ads and Google Analytics loaders
  • Two separate TikTok pixels
  • A suspended AnyTrack installation
  • An expired accessiBe installation that continues loading scripts
  • An unidentified script producing a Wix 404 error
  • A TikTok event with an invalid event name
  • Outdated Velo code attempting to open a deleted popup
  • An immediate full-screen promotional form on mobile
  • Approximately 46 homepage sections and 3,500 DOM elements
  • Heavy Wix Form, FAQ, chat, gallery, video and third-party components

Project Scope

The selected specialist will:

  1. Conduct a Complete Performance Audit * Establish mobile and desktop performance baselines * Review Wix Site Speed, Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse and Chrome DevTools data * Identify render-blocking resources, excessive JavaScript, long tasks, layout shifts and third-party overhead * Document all findings before making changes

  2. Audit and Correct Analytics Tracking * Create a complete map of all installed tracking tools and conversion IDs * Identify why Google Tag Manager container GTM-M8QH47F7 loads more than once * Consolidate Google Tag Manager, GA4 and Google Ads implementation * Preserve required Google Ads conversion tracking * Investigate the following Google identifiers and eliminate unnecessary duplicate loaders: * G-L9MXPPSFY5 * AW-17226826368 * AW-16816472781 * GT-PHXRXKWT * GTM-M8QH47F7 * Investigate two active TikTok pixels and retain only the correct implementation * Correct the invalid TikTok event * Review Meta Pixel, Microsoft Clarity, Cometly and other attribution tools * Remove broken, abandoned or duplicate tracking scripts * Use GTM Preview, Google Tag Assistant, GA4 DebugView and advertising-platform event tools to validate the final configuration

No tracking tag may be removed without first identifying its purpose and verifying that it is not required for advertising attribution or enrollment conversion reporting.

  1. Remove Broken and Unnecessary Code * Remove the suspended AnyTrack implementation * Remove or correctly reactivate the expired accessiBe integration * Identify and remove the script generating the Wix 404C error * Audit all Wix Custom Code entries * Remove outdated Velo code referencing the deleted β€œPop Up Contact Form” lightbox * Review site-wide and page-specific Velo code for unnecessary execution

  2. Optimize the Mobile Popup * Prevent the promotional form from immediately covering the mobile homepage * Disable it on mobile or replace it with a lighter, conversion-friendly alternative * Adjust desktop triggering, delay and frequency * Ensure discount lead collection continues functioning correctly * Reduce layout shifts caused by late-loading forms and popups

  3. Audit Wix Applications and Components

Review all installed Wix and third-party applications, including:

  • Wix Forms
  • Wix Bookings
  • Wix Pricing Plans
  • Wix Members
  • Wix Chat
  • Wix Blog
  • Wix Video
  • Wix FAQ
  • Wix CMS
  • Wix eCommerce
  • Galleries, slideshows and embedded components

Remove or restrict unused applications without disrupting enrollment, checkout, payment plans, member accounts, forms, CRM automations or student access.

  1. Simplify and Optimize the Homepage * Reduce unnecessary sections and DOM complexity * Preserve important SEO content, schema, enrollment messaging and conversion elements * Replace heavy galleries, sliders, videos or app widgets with lighter alternatives where appropriate * Keep the most important content above the fold lightweight * Optimize mobile-specific content independently * Preserve the existing brand design unless a change is required for performance

  2. Test All Business-Critical Functions

Before completion, verify:

  • Enrollment buttons
  • Tuition and checkout pages
  • Full-payment and payment-plan options
  • Lead forms
  • Discount-code forms
  • Phone and email links
  • Google Ads conversions
  • GA4 events
  • TikTok and Meta events
  • Wix CRM submissions
  • Mobile and desktop navigation
  • Member login and required Wix applications

Required Deliverables

  • Before-and-after performance report
  • Complete tracking and tag inventory
  • Documentation of every code, tag, app and element changed
  • Confirmation that all enrollment and payment functions work
  • Confirmation that Google Ads and analytics tracking remain accurate
  • Mobile and desktop testing results
  • Core Web Vitals improvement report
  • Recommendations for maintaining performance after future Wix updates

Requirements

  • Advanced experience optimizing live Wix websites
  • Strong Wix Editor and Velo experience
  • Expert Google Tag Manager, GA4 and Google Ads conversion-tracking knowledge
  • Experience with TikTok Pixel, Meta Pixel and Microsoft Clarity
  • Strong understanding of Core Web Vitals, JavaScript execution, DOM complexity and third-party script performance
  • Experience optimizing high-traffic lead-generation or eCommerce websites
  • Ability to make changes without disrupting paid advertising, checkout or revenue tracking

Benefits & conditions

  • Three Wix websites you personally optimized.
  • Before-and-after performance results for each example.
  • Your specific role in each project.
  • Examples of resolving duplicate GTM, GA4 or advertising-pixel installations.
  • Your proposed approach to this project.
  • Estimated timeline and fixed-price proposal.
  • Confirmation that you will document every change and fully test conversion tracking.
  • An explanation of how you would protect Google Ads data while consolidating duplicate tags.

Generic applications without Wix performance and analytics examples will not be considered.

Important Working Requirements

  • Duplicate the Wix site or create a recoverable backup before beginning.
  • Use a Wix collaborator role with only the permissions required.
  • Do not modify domain ownership, billing, payment accounts or business ownership settings.
  • Do not publish major changes without approval.
  • Maintain a detailed change log.
  • Complete the project using milestones: audit, approved implementation, tracking validation and final performance verification.

Pay: $50.00 - $80.00 per hour
