The engineer actively supports new product introductions, drives continuous improvement of test yield and performance, and ensures that test software and SQL-based data systems operate correctly and consistently across the global supply chain., * Analyze non-routine test and production issues to identify root causes and determine effective corrective actions.
- Ensure implementation of assigned actions from the manufacturing action plan, including audits, failure analysis activities, and improvement plans.
- Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot automated test equipment using commercial instruments such as NI PXI systems and related platforms.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test software in NI LabVIEW and TestStand to support electronic assembly and PCBA manufacturing.
- Work closely with IT resources to ensure test software and SQL-based data systems operate correctly, including performing data maintenance as required.
- Monitor and support SQL database servers used for test data, ensuring data integrity and availability for production and engineering teams.
- Communicate test-related issues, findings, and improvement opportunities to the R&D department, including submitting forms, markups, and documentation updates.
- Support the analysis and continuous improvement of production test yield by identifying root causes of failures and proposing practical, data-driven solutions.
- Support the transfer of test processes and technologies across the global supply chain, ensuring consistency and reliability of test methods at different locations.
- Contribute to defining test requirements and creating test processes for new products as part of the new product introduction team.
- Ensure implementation of new test processes and tools in line with assigned action plans, project milestones, and overall timelines.
- Apply problem anticipation and structured problem-solving techniques to diagnose and resolve complex test and equipment issues.
- Use training in electronics and the ability to analyze electrical schematics to diagnose and resolve test failures and equipment problems.
- Perform mechanical disassembly and reassembly of test fixtures and equipment using common tools to support maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Navigate and manage test environments that involve both Windows and Linux systems for products tested within a Windows-based test environment.
- Collaborate effectively within a team environment, building strong working relationships with production, IT, and R&D stakeholders.
- Maintain a customer-focused mindset when supporting production lines, engineering teams, and other internal stakeholders.
- Document test processes, configuration changes, and troubleshooting steps clearly and accurately to support knowledge sharing and traceability., The work environment centers on electronic assembly and PCBA manufacturing, with a strong focus on automated testing and continuous improvement. The LabVIEW Test Engineer works hands-on with automated test equipment such as NI PXI, PXI/PXIe, and NI cDAQ platforms, as well as commercial instruments integrated into these systems. Daily work involves developing and maintaining test software in NI LabVIEW, TestStand, and occasionally C++, operating primarily within Microsoft Windows environments that may include legacy versions such as Windows 98, XP, 7, and 10. The role also requires interaction with Linux-based products that are tested through Windows-based test systems. Test data is managed through SQL-based database servers, and the engineer collaborates closely with production, IT, and R&D teams to ensure reliable test execution and data integrity. The position involves regular use of common hand tools for mechanical disassembly and reassembly of test fixtures and
