Job description

Handles ingredients, maintains filters, and prepares product for bottling by mixing ingredients according to Q.C. procedures. Supplies the production line with the batched product in a timely manner, and helps to attain maximum product recovery., Responsible for complying with food safety, food security, Quality, GMP’s, HAACP, Allergen, and Sensitizer as well as other regulations as required.

Will be certified in the operations of all machinery in his or her area of responsibility.

Responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of the product run on the lines based on specifications.

Responsible for duplicating and communicating all safety and good manufacturing practices in accordance with company policy as well as all other company policies.

Ensure Customer satisfaction in the production of and maintaining of juice quality.

Obtains forklift certification.

Monitors and incorporates push outs and DTB back into system.

Hooks up hoses, pumps and lines for bulk concentrate or juice and transfers from the proper cold storage tank or tankers to the proper batch tank.

Maintains, builds and starts up filter(s) and opens drums. Inspects, monitors and maintains filter blankets; inspects daily for holes or damage; washes new blankets as needed.

Program panel view for product delivery from cold room to batch tanks.

Follows batching sheets from the Quality Control Department and adds the proper materials (water, spices, etc.)

Takes product to Q.C. Lab for quality checks. Follows Q.C. instructions and adjusts product.

Transfer of product from batch tanks through filters to the holding tanks.

Completes material usage sheets and is responsible for their accuracy.

Will monitor system continually for leaks, and the constant flow of product to Production.

Tears the system down at the end of the shift (filters, pumps, hoses, etc.).

Cleans area during and at the end of the shift.

Responsible for CIP all Batching lines, tanks and equipment.

Removes empty barrels from main building to outside storage area.

Must be able to change water filters (cotton and charcoal) in both Batching areas.

Receive and unload tankers, railcars, and box trailers in a safe efficient manner.

Operate all measuring devices for accurate volume of ingredients.

Remove, empty cell pans as needed.

Adheres to company policies and safety requirements as defined.

Represents the company in a positive manner at all times.

Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

High School diploma and/or GED. Prior batching / manufacturing experience a plus.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

Able to read, write and speak English. Excellent interpersonal skills, team player and an attitude to excel are a must. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of organization.

MATHEMATICAL ABILITIES:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

MISC:

Previous experience necessary. Ability to operate machinery preferred. Must possess mechanical ability. Bilingual a plus. Computer literate with MS Office. Must have a high level of personal drive to succeed and possess strong leadership, communication and organizational skills. Growth potential exists for an ambitious manufacturing professional.
