Job description

Apogee has an exciting new opportunity for a APACS Help Desk Coordinator to support Headquarters United States Air Force (HAF/A10). In this role, you provide comprehensive support to the Foreign Clearance Program (FCP) across a full range of policy, operational, and technical activities, specifically, overseeing the APACS Help Desk and program support The HAF/A10 contract delivers technical, analytical, operational, programmatic, and planning subject-matter expertise to HAF/A10 and its component divisions to advance national security strategic plans, policies, concepts, and initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site position located at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA. This position is contingent upon contract award. Responsibilities:

  • In this role, you provide comprehensive support to the Foreign Clearance Program (FCP) across a full range of policy, operational, and technical activities, specifically overseeing the APACS Help Desk and program support.
  • Aircraft & Personnel Automated Clearance System (APACS) Support: Provide/oversee on-site policy, administrative, and helpdesk support for the NIPRNET and SIPRNET APACS portals.
  • Overseeing work of Help Desk technicians resolving user issues, answering policy questions, and managing trouble tickets; conducting system maintenance & development, providing technical support for all application software updates (e.g., bug fixes, upgrades), and API management.
  • Coordinate with DISA and appropriate others to ensure all server patches and upgrades are performed with minimal impact to end users.
  • Track all requests for new capabilities and provide a consolidated list to the Configuration Control Board (CCB).
  • Implement all CCB-approved system changes on a cycle approved by the CCB chair.
  • Develop and implement software solutions to address emerging DoW FCP requirements and DoW compliance.

Requirements

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen Clearance: Must have an active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and be able to maintain it Education: Bachelor’s degree Years of Experience: Ten (10) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline; to include five (5) years of DoD experience Preferred Qualifications: Clearance: TS/SCI Education: Master’s degree Years of Experience: Eight (8) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline; to include five (5) years of DoD experience
